About the Thompson Law Offices

As highly experienced professionals in the fields of estate planning and administration, Thompson Law Offices is able to educate the client as to the variety of planning tools that are available to effectuate the client’s goals while minimizing taxes and transfer costs. Basic estate plans commonly include Revocable Living Trusts, Pourover Wills, and Durable Powers of Attorney. After a complimentary analysis of the client’s assets and family structure, we may recommend more advanced estate planning techniques such as an Irrevocable Life Insurance Trust, a Charitable Remainder Trust, or a Family Limited Partnership. We often arrive at our plans after consulting the financial or insurance planning professionals with whom the client has been working.

Trust Administration and Probate are major areas of our firm’s practice that are handled sensitively and expeditiously in a highly professional manner. We assist in handling or administering the probate estate or living trust after the passing of a loved one, when many important steps and tax elections may have to be made.
